Xyan / Trace Meadors

Xyan AKA Trace Meadors has been in the music industry for 8 years. After a year of experimenting with audio Trace decided to go to college where he was awarded a Bachelors of Science in Audio Production.

Toward the end of college Trace started the Xyan project, where he began to release pop and electronic music spanning a range of genres.

Madhatter! / Brett Hopkin

Brett Hopkin, aka, Madhatter! is a Multi-Genre Electronic Producer, Saxophonist, Guitarist and Composer out of Austin, TX.

If Griz had a threesome baby with, Kill The Noise and Hans Zimmer, you would get a Madhatter. Simple math guys.

George Pettus

6x Grammy nominee. George Pettus currently works with Jamla Roc Nation. Credits: Melba Moore, Rapsody, Common, Childish Gambino, phonte & Eric Roberson, Chance the Rapper, Torea and many more. Georges style is very versatile in many genres of music. George teaches production and vocals here at the academy.

DJ Grip

Originating from Houston, DJ Grip is well known in the Texas and Southern region of the US . He is well known for his mixtapes and club/concert performances.

DJ Grip has over 15 years in experience specializing in Rap/Hip Hop. He has performed at clubs & festivals including SXSW, Free Fest, Mala Luna, & JMBLYA throughout the duration of his career. DJ Grip has been a staple in the Austin DJ scene for years, and a great mentor/instructor to work with!

Cody Savonen / Lodis

Cody Savonen is an electronic music producer and songwriter with 5+ years of experience. After graduating college, he decided to relocate from the East Coast to Austin in order to pursue a professional music career. After years of perfecting his craft, he began releasing music under the duo alias, LODIS.

Inspired by the likes of Seven Lions, Illenium, and William Black, Cody is drawn to future bass, melodic bass, and melodic dubstep music. With releases under Subsidia & Rude Service Records to name a few.

Boomer MacKay / Leibi

Boomer MacKay aka Leibi is an Austin native DJ, Producer, and Dub Academy Alumni. Musically he is mainly focused on House & Techno with plans to venture into the realm of bass music.

After multiple years of DJ’ing, he decided to produce his own tracks and in a short time has become very proficient in Ableton, Dub Academy’s top alumni and newest instructor.
